Ideal 18

The Ideal 18 is fast and simple to sail.

The cockpit allows for three adults to
sail in comfort and safety. For solo
sailors, this is a perfect boat due to the
furling and self-tending jib as well as the jiffy reefing system on the main sail.

The usual racing crew is two even when
flying the spinnaker. Bruce Kirby, designer of the popular Laser, is also the designer of the Ideal 18.  This boat looks
a lot like a scaled down Sonar which was also designed by Kirby.

Specifications:
LOA:  17'11"
Beam:  6'2"
Draft:  3'3"
