Ideal 18 (2 in fleet)
The Ideal 18, new to the fleet this year, is fast and simple to sail. The cockpit allows for four adults to sail in comfort and safety, however, because the Ideal has a furling and self-tending job, they can solo sailed. The usual racing crew is two even when flying the spinnaker. The Ideal 18 looks a lot like a scaled down Sonar, which is not too surprising since she was also designed by Bruce Kirby.
